Values
Liberation
We believe all oppressions are linked. In order for our community to be well and prosper, every person deserves liberation from social and systemic inequities they face. We believe in going beyond cross-cultural collaboration; we believe in reaching beyond our wildest dreams together.
Holistic
We believe in seeing ourselves, the work we do, and those impacted by our work holistically. From a person/people-centered lens, we approach people’s physical, social, emotional, spiritual, and relational well being in their totality and not separate from one another.
Intergenerational
We believe that a movement is a labor of love that comes from many hands, histories, and experiences. Including our elders, parents, and youth as integral partners leads to collective healing.
Growth and Learning
We believe in activating our community’s inherent power. We become stronger and more resilient as a community when we focus on learning to understand and grow for the future.
Joy
We believe in centering joy in our work and our lives. Organizing from a place of joy keeps our souls replenished. It reminds us to appreciate each other’s humanity, energy, and humor. For us, staying joyful is an act of radical resistance against systems that sap our life force.
